In 2008, Eric Seitz was a dying, homeless, 24-year-old heroin addict. His body was being consumed by Necrotizing Fasciitis, a flesh-eating bacteria, and without treatment, he would not have lived to see his 25th birthday. Fortunately, Eric was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, and after a one-month coma, he returned to conciousness with a new interest in pursuing a nursing career.
This spring, Eric graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine (one of the best programs in the country) as class president. Following graduation, Eric intends to focus his career on community nursing and working with the homeless.
